Verified shortlist
Manufacturers, not middlemen
Every candidate is checked for its registered company, its production address and whether it makes the product or trades it. A trader is disclosed as one, never presented as a factory.
ACCOMPANIED FACTORY & SUPPLIER VISITS
We verify and shortlist suppliers before you fly and confirm meetings with the people who make decisions.
Then we travel with you: a bilingual lead in every meeting, the route and transport handled, and a written record of every visit.
The C2W Group plans and accompanies factory and supplier visits in China from its head office in Zhuhai. Before you travel, we verify each supplier, confirm whether it is a manufacturer or a trader, and book meetings with owners, export managers or engineers. During the trip, a bilingual lead runs the programme and records every meeting.
Programmes run in two stages. You approve the confirmed appointments, route and costs before you pay for the visit week, so nothing is booked on an unverified shortlist.
Why Go With a Team on the Ground
Most trips go wrong before the flight. English-language information about Chinese suppliers is often out of date, contact emails reach the wrong business unit, and a polished showroom can belong to a trading company.
The work starts weeks before you land. Every supplier is checked against company records, approached in Mandarin and confirmed in writing with the names of the people you will meet. Where a supplier does not qualify, we tell you why and propose an alternative for your approval.
When we reviewed one delegation’s list of named manufacturers before quoting, two contact addresses reached the wrong division and one brand’s original operating company was in liquidation.

Why Choose Shield Works
Verified shortlist
Every candidate is checked for its registered company, its production address and whether it makes the product or trades it. A trader is disclosed as one, never presented as a factory.
Confirmed appointments
Appointments are requested with owners, export managers or engineers, with access to production areas. A showroom visit alone is not accepted as a factory visit.
Bilingual lead
An English and Mandarin speaking C2W lead sits in every meeting, interpreting commercial and technical points from a question set agreed with you before you travel. The lead never doubles as the driver.
Route & logistics
A business van with a professional driver, hotel options on the route, airport or station transfers, and invitation letters for the travellers on your programme where a visa is needed. Dietary needs and weekend visits are planned in.
Written record
One page per visit: who attended, what you saw, answers against your criteria, prices, MOQs, lead times, samples and actions. After you leave, a findings report compares every supplier you met.
Independent
We take no commission, referral fee or rebate from any supplier, and disclose any existing relationship before you choose who to visit. Hotels, vehicle and travel are passed through at cost against receipts.
Typical Programmes
Every programme is built around your brief, but most follow one of three shapes. Each can run anywhere in our coverage, and each can include a trade fair when the dates line up.
For teams choosing one manufacturing partner. Usually five to ten days: verified manufacturer visits, follow-up meetings with the strongest candidates, and a final day kept free to negotiate and sign.
For teams looking for products or technology to build into their own. Usually a week: qualified companies in each category you set, visits with working demonstrations, and a comparison of what you saw.
For procurement teams buying across several categories. A comparison matrix before you travel, around two substantive visits a day, then quotations, samples and negotiation followed up afterwards.
Our Development Process
Steps 1 to 4 are the preparation. The trip itself is only booked once you approve the confirmed programme at step 4, so you never fly on an unverified shortlist.
An online kick-off to agree the products, your criteria and what suppliers may see. Nothing goes to a supplier beyond the brief you approve.
Candidates from the wider market and our own network, checked against Chinese company records and approached in Mandarin under the C2W name.
A side-by-side comparison of qualified suppliers, with indicative prices, MOQs and lead times where they give them. You choose who to visit.
Confirmed appointments with names and roles, the route, your lead and the quoted costs. You approve the trip, move the dates, or stop there.
Collection from your hotel each day, appointments reconfirmed each morning, your lead in every meeting, and a written record each evening.
A report comparing every supplier you met, within days of departure, plus optional help with quotations, samples, negotiation and inspection.
Frequently Asked
In two parts. A preparation fee covers the search, verification, appointments and planning. The visit-week fee is payable only after you approve the confirmed programme: the appointments, the route and the quoted costs. Hotels, the vehicle and the lead’s travel are passed through at cost, with no markup, against receipts. Every programme is quoted against your brief, because the number of categories, travellers and days changes the work.
No. We take no commission, referral fee or rebate from any supplier, and our fees are paid by you alone. If a supplier we put forward is one we already work with, we say so before you choose your visits, so the comparison you take home is yours.
We ask every supplier for an owner, an export manager or an engineer responsible for the product, with access to production areas, and the names and roles each supplier gives us are confirmed in writing before you travel. An appointment is not binding on a supplier, so who finally attends is its decision; if a supplier cancels, we propose a replacement for your approval and the fee does not change.
Allow three to six weeks of preparation before you fly, depending on the number of categories. Plan around China’s National Day holiday in the first week of October and the Chinese New Year shutdown, which closes most factories from late January to late February. The Canton Fair weeks in October and November push Guangzhou hotel rates up and take export teams out of their offices, though a fair can also be worked into the programme on purpose.
Only as part of an accompanied programme. Once you have approved and paid for the visit, China 2 West’s Zhuhai company issues business invitation letters for the travellers on that programme, with the meeting schedule the application needs. The letters cover our programme only and are withdrawn if it is cancelled. We do not issue invitation letters as a standalone service.
Many nationalities can now enter China visa-free for short business visits, so we check your situation when we plan the dates; please confirm current requirements with the Chinese embassy before you book.
Hong Kong International Airport is usually the easiest. Our Zhuhai head office is about an hour by road across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and we meet you at the bridge port or arrange a cross-border car. Guangzhou Baiyun and Shenzhen Bao’an airports work just as well when your first visits are closer to them, and the route is planned around whichever you choose.
Yes. Most programmes stay in the Pearl River Delta, where Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhongshan and Zhuhai are within a day’s drive. Our coverage also includes Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Fujian and Shandong. Where the strongest supplier is further away, the confirmation pack sets out the options: an extra travel day, a meeting at its Guangdong office, or the supplier travelling to meet you.
Yes. If you already have two or three candidate factories, the same approach works at a smaller scale: we verify them before you travel, confirm the meetings and go with you to interpret the technical and commercial discussions. Tell us what is already on your list when you enquire.
Yes. Work runs under an NDA, first approaches are made under the C2W name using only the brief you approve, and your company is named to a supplier only with your permission. Contracts for anything you buy are between you and the supplier, unless you ask C2W to manage the supply for you.
You receive a findings report comparing every supplier you met against your criteria, with quotations still outstanding listed with who is following them up. From there you can take it on yourself, or keep us on for quotation clarification, samples, negotiation, factory audits, production monitoring and pre-shipment inspection. See quality inspection and testing.
We review every submission and reply to most within 24 hours. If the trip looks like a fit, we set up a call to understand your brief, then come back with a written proposal for the preparation and the visit week. All work runs under a paid engagement. Submit your enquiry.
