Our Manufacturing Services

Three ways to build with Shield Works.

Whether you need complete end-to-end production, expert input on design and engineering, or a specialised process built around your product, we build a manufacturing programme that fits your timeline, quality standards, and strategy.

OEM

OEM contract manufacturing

You bring your own original design and specifications, and we manufacture it as a new product, from raw material sourcing through to finished, inspected goods. The design and IP stay entirely yours, with clear oversight at every stage.

ODM

ODM, your brand on a proven design

Bring a ready-made, production-proven design to market under your own label. We adapt an existing product to your branding and requirements, so you launch faster without engineering from a blank sheet.

Bespoke

Custom manufacturing

For products that do not fit a standard line, we develop the procedures, equipment, and in-house processes your specification needs. Specialist and niche builds are engineered to run repeatably, rather than forced through a fixed process.

Before a single unit is built, our DFX team pressure-tests your design for manufacturability, catching cost, tooling, and quality risks on paper rather than on the line.

Our Manufacturing Approach

From project brief to shipped units, in three managed steps.

  1. Design for manufacturing review

Before any tooling is committed, our DFX team pressure-tests your design for cost, tooling, and quality risks. Problems get solved on paper rather than on the line, so you reach volume with the surprises designed out.

  2. Tooling, sourcing, and pilot run

We commit tooling, qualify materials and components through the C2W Group vetted supplier network, and prove the process with a pilot build. Nothing scales to volume until the first units pass inspection.

  3. Production and dual-layer QC

Full production runs under documented quality control. Shield Works runs internal incoming, in-process, and final checks, then an independent C2W Group quality engineer verifies the batch and reports directly to you.

IP Protection by Structure

Your design never leaves your control.

Manufacturing exposes a design to more hands than any other stage: suppliers, tooling shops, operators. Shield Works closes that gap by structure, so no single party outside your team can reconstruct your complete product.

Across the supply chain

  • Suppliers receive only the data their part requires
  • Sub-assemblies are integrated internally by our staff
  • No supplier can reconstruct the full product

Inside the facility

  • Each client project is isolated, with no cross-exposure
  • Fingerprint-access rooms for IP-sensitive builds
  • Binding NDAs signed with a British-owned and managed company

One Facility, Two Capabilities

Manufacturing and assembly, under one roof.

With both capabilities in-house, you can produce from scratch or assemble components without juggling multiple vendors. Custom parts, final assembly, and inspection run on one accountable line, with centralised quality control and a single trusted partner from the ground up.

Frequently Asked

Manufacturing with Shield Works, answered.

What manufacturing services does Shield Works offer?

OEM contract manufacturing, ODM, and custom manufacturing. We build your original design as a new product, bring a proven design to market under your brand, or develop a bespoke process for a non-standard build. Need the design itself engineered first? See our product development and DFM services.

What is the difference between OEM and ODM?

OEM means you bring your own original design and we manufacture it as a new product to your specification, with the design and IP staying yours. ODM means you take an existing, production-proven design to market under your own brand. In short, OEM is a new product from your design, ODM is an existing design carrying your label.

Do you have a minimum order quantity?

We scale the line to your order profile rather than forcing a fixed minimum, from prototype and low-volume runs through to ongoing mid and high-volume production.

How do you protect my IP during manufacturing?

By structure. Suppliers receive only the data they need and never the full design, sub-assemblies are integrated internally, and each client project is isolated from every other. IP-sensitive work runs in fingerprint-access rooms under NDA. See the full IP protection model.

What materials and processes can you handle?

Plastics, metals, composites, and electronics, with assembly and finishing in line. That covers injection moulding, CNC machining, sheet metal, die casting, PCB and SMT assembly, cable harnesses, and more. We do not handle clothing, footwear, cosmetics, chemicals, food, or pharmaceuticals.

Can you manufacture and assemble the complete product?

Yes. Manufacturing and precision assembly run under one roof, so your product moves from custom parts to a finished, assembled, and inspected unit with a single point of accountability. More on our assembly services.

How is quality controlled?

Dual-layer QC. Shield Works runs internal incoming, in-process, and final quality checks against an agreed inspection plan. An independent C2W Group quality engineer then verifies the batch and reports directly to you. More on quality inspection and testing.

Can you take over production from our current factory?

Yes. We regularly transition existing production into our facility, including process improvements and design changes, with minimal disruption to your supply.

What happens after I submit a brief?

We look at your specification and parts list, assess fit, and reply to most enquiries within 24 hours. If it looks like a fit, we review the project in detail and put NDA and IP scoping in place, then set up a call to confirm fit before we come back with a proposal. All work runs under a paid engagement. Submit your project brief.
