Development is scoped per project rather than sold off a price list, because an oven redesign and a ground-up product line are not the same piece of work. Where a project needs development, it runs through a Route to Market Plan with our parent company, the C2W Group, which sets out each stage, what it produces, and what it costs before anything starts.
Fees are usually structured one of three ways: a one-off fee scoped to the work, a monthly retainer for ongoing development, or a margin tied to your order value once you are in production. We review projects at no charge where the brief is clear, and design and development here costs a fraction of a Western design house while we already know what a Chinese factory needs to build it.
