From a single Hong Kong office in 2005 to a multi-country group with a 100,000 sq ft IP-protected manufacturing facility in Zhuhai. Two decades of building Western-managed manufacturing capability across Asia.
Chapter 01 2005–2018
C2W Foundations
China 2 West Services Ltd. was founded in 2005 by a former Royal Marines officer, with a mandate to bring Western standards of communication, quality and accountability to manufacturing in Asia. Over the next thirteen years C2W grew from a single Hong Kong registration into a multi-country sourcing and quality-control operation.

C2W founded
Registered in Hong Kong by Nick Cunningham, a former Major in the Royal Marines, to provide Western-led sourcing and manufacturing support in China.
- 2008
China company
C2W established a Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE) in Zhuhai with full import, export and manufacturing licenses.
- 2012
New China locations
Forward operations and quality-control offices opened in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Shanghai, Ningbo and Suzhou.

Bahamas company
C2W Bahamas opened to better service the needs of North American and Caribbean clients.
- 2013
London Lounge
A British bar and restaurant opened in Zhuhai, anchoring the growing expatriate community around the C2W HQ.
- 2017
Thailand company
C2W SE Asia Representative Office opened in Phuket.

Vietnam office
C2W’s SE Asia sourcing hub opened in Ho Chi Minh City.

Shogun Sports
C2W Group launched Shogun Sports, a fitness and recovery brand based in California, USA.

USA company
C2W Group established its US entity in Wyoming, USA.
Chapter 02 2019–2020
Shield Works Launches
After more than a decade of supporting clients’ manufacturing inside other people’s factories, the C2W Group built its own. Shield Works was incorporated as a wholly-owned C2W subsidiary and opened its dedicated facility in Zhuhai, a Western-managed plant for OEM assembly, warehousing and distribution.

Shield Works opens
Shield Works Precision Manufacturing, incorporated in 2019, began manufacturing in Zhuhai in January 2020 as the C2W Group’s own OEM assembly facility, warehouse and distribution hub.

Nominated and judged to be in the Top 5 British Companies of the Year in China at the British Business Awards.
Chapter 03 2021–2024
Scaling & Certification
Shield Works expanded its Zhuhai footprint to 100,000 square feet and put its quality, environmental and health-and-safety systems through independent audit, earning the full ISO trio and a second nomination at the British Business Awards.

Facility expansion
Shield Works’ Zhuhai site grown to 100,000 sq ft, with dedicated zones for assembly, warehousing and R&D.

ISO certifications
Shield Works certified to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental) and ISO 45001:2015 (Health & Safety).

Nominated and judged to be in the Top 3 British Companies of the Year in China at the British Business Awards.
Chapter 04 2025
The Group Adds India
As clients started looking beyond China for supply-chain diversification, the C2W Group opened its India operation in Pune in April 2025, adding a directly managed team alongside its operations in China, Vietnam and Thailand.

C2W Group India (formerly India 2 West) opened in Pune in April 2025 to serve clients looking to diversify their supply chains beyond China.
